The Shan Club Art Collection stands out due to its unique spatial division. The designer divides the space into two areas, activating the whole space through a collision of various materials. The design achieves a harmonious blend in the functional division of the space, paying equal attention to the combination of space and landscape. The result is an atmosphere enlivened with natural objects, fostering a beneficial interaction between the space and ornaments.
Yongqiang Yi's design is realized through the use of cast-in-situ integrated terrazzo and wheel-rolled rusty iron, expressing a pursuit of natural source. Quality materials, delicate lamplight, and elaborate details are employed to reinforce the spatial expression. The industrial-styled exposed roof and special metal rods present a coherent design language, adding to the uniqueness of the space.
With a total area of 780 square meters, the Shan Club Art Collection is a testament to the designer's innovative approach to interior design. The design philosophy of motion and motionlessness is evident in the space, realizing a reasonable interaction within the space. The design project, which started in August 2018 in Zhaoqing and finished in August 2020, integrates multiple elements to form a humanistic planning against the source and life.
One of the challenges faced by the designer was to form a new balance amid the indoor instability. However, this was successfully overcome, endowing the space with endless potential. The design uses black, white, and gray as the main tones, giving a sense of calm and steadiness. The primitive cement exposed style of the ceiling and the rough cement color display add to the unique charm of the space.
The Shan Club Art Collection was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is rewarded to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The award is a testament to the strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill showcased in the design of the Shan Club Art Collection.
